2022 Domaine d’Ardhuy Gevrey Chambertin

A Wine producer in Burgundy since 1927. From Gevrey-Chambertin to Puligny-Montrachet including Clos de Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Ladoix, Pommard or Meursault, the Domaine d'Ardhuy provides a wide range of Burgundy terroir.

Located in Côte d'Or, right in the middle of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, Domaine d'Ardhuy offers a trip into the diversity of Burgundy wines, including his famous plot "Le Clos des Langres" Monopole. We look after our 125 plots of vineyards with respect for their unique characteristics and typicality of Climats de Bourgogne. 38.5 hectares of vineyard for 45 Appellations produced including 6 Grands Cru, 15 Premiers Crus and 15 Villages.

Tasting notes: A deep, intense red colour with purplish highlights announces a nose of red and black fruits, blackcurrants, with floral and spicy notes. Gevrey-Chambertin is characterized by silky, enveloping yet present tannins, making it ideal for ageing.

Soil: Although the soils of the different plots are not all identical, they do share one main characteristic: they are all clay-limestone soils located on the alluvial cone of the Combe de Lavaux: a vestige of past glacial areas, this cone of pebbles and cobbles provides the vines with a particularly well-draining subsoil, enabling deep rooting without excess water and minerals
